holds a DEA post-graduate diploma in general private law, with an option in commercial law, from Paris I university and a DEA in environmental law from Paris II. He has been practising law since 1996. After starting out in the French-US firm Salans (DENTONS), he joined Avens Lehman & Associés where he became a partner in 2003. He was one of the founding partners of FLP Avocats in 2010.

Jean-Marie advises and litigates in communication, media and information technology law, intellectual property law and commercial law.
He regularly publishes in legal journals and professional periodicals. Jean-Marie is also the author of a book on advertising creation, "Le Guide Juridique du Créatif", published by Editions d’Organisation.
He is a member of Communication & Entreprise, a leading organisation of corporate communication professionals.
